Support us

Supporting our work is possible in 2 ways: by making a donation or by getting involved directly.

We count ourselves lucky that we have received support from people around the globe. Our work would not have been possible without them and it really means the world to us!

Our area of greatest need: satisfying the appetites of our 350 feathered friends at the park and the many released birds still partially under our care. The birds eat a diet mostly of fruits, vegetables and seeds. Even though those things are not very expensive in Honduras, the sheer quantity of food needed on a daily basis quickly adds up. Your contribution will also help us sustain our release program and its supporting projects.

Donations are handled by our friends at the World Parrot Trust, our non-profit partner. We appreciate donations of all sizes. Donations from residents of the USA and Canada may even be eligible for a tax deduction.

Thank you very much!

Get involved

We can use the helping hands of our supporters and friends in many areas. Depending on your experience, skills, interests and expectations, there are several ways to volunteer with us. That could be in the park or working remotely on such topics as fundraising, marketing and promotion, social media, education and technical matters.

We also offer an internship program for veterinary students and practitioners.

Get in touch with us and we can see how to best set you up.

We need your help!

Our life mission is to protect and reproduce the Scarlet Macaw (Honduras' national bird) as well as several other species endemic to Central America and to have a positive impact on both the environment and society.

Primarily funded by proceeds from tourist visits to our park, this mission is now under serious threat from the ongoing global health crisis. In these extraordinary times, YOUR DONATION CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!
