Macaw Mountain Coffee embraces the proud coffee traditions of western Honduras. Our 100% pure Arabica beans are shade-grown, spring-washed, and sun-dried at 1300 meters atop Mt. Miramundo (literally – “View the world”) overlooking the Mayan ruins of the Copan Valley.
The farm’s cool, cloud-swept forest provides a lush home for three species of toucans and noisy flights of tropical parrots. Our rich soil and our experienced, dedicated team carefully nurture the plants and produce for you an elegant gourmet coffee of exceptional smoothness.
As you enjoy our special coffee, you support serious avian conservation in Central America. The coffee and the Bird Park share a name as the two projects were developed in tandem. Coffee sales help fund the rescue, reproduction, and release of Central American Parrots: the mission of the park and PRO-ALAS, our associated NGO.
